Reseller

Overview Reseller

With help of the Reseller function EVC wants to provide a platform to exchange WinOLS project files between sellers and buyers.

Resellers are  WinOLS users who sell OLS projects to other customers. These OLS projects can contain beside an original file one or more tuning files or map informations.

In every project the reseller can adjust, what is allowed to do with it (rights). Beside "all is allowed" it is possible to disable the export of binary files or map informations.

The payment will be done by "credits". For every Reseller/Buyer relationship there is an own credit account. The price of a credit will be negotiated between reseller and buyer. Every buyer must contact one or more resellers and send them a certain amount of money. The reseller will add him to his buyers list and add the amount to his account.

The buyer can now download projects until his account is empty.

What must be done to become a buyer?

The webpage „Projects“ gives an rough overview, which reseller sells which project. An interested customer can take contact to the reseller over the information in the column „Contact“.

After the reseller has concluded an agreement about the price per credit and the payment the reseller can enter the buyer in his EVC account settings and add the corresponding number of credits.

The buyer must use the WinOLS Updates&Registration function. After that the project open dialog will show in clients (symol of a hat) for every reseller an own entry. After selecting the reseller client all projects for sale will be shown.

If a buyer wants to purchase a project and if there are enough credits on his account he only has to select the corresponding line and press OK. The a confirmation box will appear. After the second OK the purchase will be done and his credits account charged.

The purchased project will be downloaded and stored. Corresponding to the rights given by the reseller the project can be only be displayed or maps or binary files can be exported.

What must be done to become a Reseller?

If somebody wants to become a reseller, he must contact EVC to get a reseller account. Then the reseller must use the Updates&Registration function. So there will be created a client with the choosen "Reseller-x" name automatically.

  • In the project properties there is a new field Credits, which must be filled with a value for that project. If the field is empty 10 credits will be taken as default.

  • In the field Reseller-Project type a short explanation can be given to the potential buyer, for example Map Pack or Tuningfile. This field will also be shown on the EVC reseller webpage.

  • Furthermore there is a field Reseller-Details, where for example +25 Hp can be entered.

  • Additionally the rights for that project must be adjusted as needed.

All ols files in the clients list will be transfered automatically to the EVC webserver while WinOLS is running. Also later changes will be transfered automatically. The status of the transmission can be seen at the progress bar at the bottom of the project list or in the configuration-paths-clients.

Any questions?

Legal stuff

EVC is the operator of the platform and not responsible for the contents of the projects or copyrights.

Why credits?

The credit as virtual currency simplifies the billing between the reseller and buyer. Furthermore a reseller can give different prices for a credit to different customers. The payment is done directly from the buyer to the reseller. So EVC will be released from the payments and keeps only the accounts.

Why is that possible only under WinOLS ?

By using OLSx project files all necessary informations can be transported in one file and so ensure the  integrity of the data. Moreover the rights management can control the later usage of the project like tuning file or demo project.

Why does EVC do that?

To connect sellers and buyers and of couse to distribute WinOLS as a tuning system.
